Our Process

In our last blog, we talked about “The Why,” the reason we decided to write our book, Visualize Your Professional Future

We wrote our book to bring clarity to the career coaching principles and frameworks we have been taught, used, and evolved over the years. What initially started as tools we shared only with our mentees became a valuable resource for supporting a wider audience navigating their own career journeys. Writing the book also gave us space to explore new ideas, update proven methodologies for modern times, and consider how to grow the conversation beyond our immediate circles.

However, our goal was never to simply create a workbook. We set out to build a visual and practical guide for reimagining a career with clarity and purpose.

We began by listening closely to the real questions people ask when they feel stuck, uncertain, or ready for more. Questions like, “What should I do next?” “How do I know this is the right move?” and “How do I navigate a difficult role?” kept coming up in coaching sessions and conversations with mentees.

These questions stem from inner reflection, values, passions, fears, and ambitions. Instead of offering quick answers, we wanted to create a process to help every professional pause, reflect, and make decisions that were both strategic and personal. That is why the first two steps of our framework are Strategy and Self-Assessment. These are foundational. Career growth is not about what is available. It is about what aligns with who you are and where you are meant to go.

Years of mentoring provided the test bed for refining the worksheets, prompts, and reflection sections. We observed what created momentum, what needed to be reworked, and what had to be retired. The result is a six-part framework: Strategy, Assessment, Skill Building, Branding, Network, and Execution. It mirrors the path our clients take when creating their career plans.

Above all, we built this book to be actionable. A compass for career change. A steady guide when the path feels unclear. A mirror for self-reflection, helping you see your strengths and aspirations more clearly. A catalyst for momentum, designed to move you from vision to action, one intentional step at a time.

This book will guide you, but we made sure it leaves room for your own voice, your story, and your version of success to take shape.
